BBAB 2019 to showcase the latest in beauty, cosmetics, and beyond

In addition to offering the region’s most comprehensive range of healthcare and beauty products and services, the event is expected to serve as a promising platform for business networking and negotiations.

Beyond Beauty ASEAN Bangkok 2019 (BBAB 2019) will take place 19 to 21 September this year at IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center, Bangkok, Thailand. Recognized as the region’s most prestigious and comprehensive showcase of beauty and healthcare products and services, the event is the platform for business networking and negotiations.

BBAB 2019 is organized by the Federation of Thai Industries, in cooperation with IMPACT Exhibition Management Co., Ltd., and Informa Markets, in the belief that the beauty and cosmetics market in ASEAN and CLMV will continue to grow. It is also believed that regional collaborations and customer-oriented digital marketing can strengthen entrepreneurs and industry players in today’s rapidly changing digital era.

BBAB 2019 will be featuring many activities, bringing top industry players to discover Southeast Asia’s markets, new products and technologies. It is also a great opportunity for them to build contacts and explore the trends that may inspire new businesses.

Mrs. Ketmanee Lertkitcha, Deputy Secretary-General and Chairwoman of the Federation of Thai Industries’ Cosmetics Industry Group, and President of the Thai Cosmetic Manufacturers Association, said, “Thailand can be considered as ASEAN’s beauty hub with tremendous business potential. The increase of investment from international companies in Thailand and in the ASEAN region is one of the main factors that drive the growth of Thailand’s cosmetic industry – including the domestic market. Other factors can include quality and standards of resource, imports, distribution and better manufacture.”

Ms. Claudia Bonfiglioli, General Manager – Beauty Vertical, Informa Markets, mentioned, “BBAB has grown to become the largest beauty trade exhibition in Southeast Asia, harnessing the dynamic growth, vitality and potential of the Southeast Asia’s beauty industry. Nowadays, international companies keep investing in Thailand and neighboring countries – more country pavilions are present, like Poland this year. The brand new Informa beauty vertical now consists 16 beauty shows in Asia, creating an extensive network for international brands to enter the markets.”

Ms. Peerayaphan Pongsanam, Assistant Senior Project Manager – Trade Exhibition, IMPACT Exhibition Management Co., Ltd., pointed out that the exhibition space for has expanded in response to the increase in the number of visitors over the last six editions. She said, “Statistics show that the beauty and healthcare industry continues to grow, and this confirms that BBAB enables Thai businesses to optimize their potential as they are heading to become a regional manufacturing and distribution hub for the ASEAN and CLMV markets.”

Mr. Tanawat Ruangteprat, Executive Director, inFASH, said, “Today, most businesses including beauty business are faced with digital disruption. Customers are interested more in new technologies and new innovations that trend to become important parts in our daily lives.” He added: “Nowadays, customers can research about products before buying. They now can learn about products from other customer’s online reviews. This shows how digital disruption can affect the act of a customer buying a product from a seller. So, business owners should take advantage of these new opportunities and prepare their companies to debunk traditional benchmarks to generate more revenue.”

Mr. Jirut Issarangkul Na Ayudhaya, vice-president of Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) stated that “Beyond Beauty ASEAN Bangkok 2019 will help promote Thailand as one of the main beauty industry leaders in the ASEAN region and support the government’s 4.0 strategy. The event will also provide great opportunities for international companies within the industry who are interested in investing or expanding their business to Southeast Asia‘s markets and promote Thailand’s organic brands to the global market. We believe that BBAB 2019 will help improve and promote our Thai’s organic brands to the global market.”
