INTERMAT ASEAN 2018 (“INTERMAT”) and Concrete Asia 2018 are the region’s trade shows for construction, infrastructure and concrete sectors. At the press conference today, Ms. Amporn Chatbusayamas, Assistant to Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Transport, shared the investment plan of the Ministry of Transport for the construction industry. This included plans for building and upgrading transport networks to meet the country’s needs for the next five years.

The joint panel discussion – The Challenges of the Thai Construction Industry in Version 4.0, also held at the press conference, included; Dr. Sathian Charoenrien, Acting Chief Engineer, Department of Public Works and Town and Country Planning, Mr. Ekarin Lueangvilai, Chief of Transport System Research and Development Section, Expressway Authority of Thailand , the representation from Department of Highways and Mr. Piyadit Atsavasirisuk, Board Member, Thai Contractors Association under H.M. the King’s Patronage

Apart from sharing their insights about the challenges, they also gave a sneak preview of the activities that they will be featuring at INTERMAT and Concrete Asia. Projects pertaining to the current and future infrastructure network in Thailand will be highlighted, with exhibits from:
